Samsung S20 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra Specs – Awesome Technology Competition

S20 Ultra vs Note 20 Ultra Specs

We have recently seen the release of the Note 20 Ultra and from first glance, it looks like a big upgrade, but is it really better than the already good S20 Ultra? Even though the S20 Ultra has released at the beginning of the year, is it really worth dropping everything for the Note 20 ultra? In this article, I will try to give you a clear answer, on which one is really better.

Design

What is different about the design of the phone? The Note 20 Ultra features a matte finish on the brown version of the phone which is more resistant to fingerprints than the S20 Ultra’s plain glass back. The Note 20 Ultra is also the first phone in the world with Gorilla Glass 7, which is 1.2x more drop-resistant and 2x more scratch-resistant than the S20 Ultra’s Gorilla Glass 6. The phone is also slimmer and lighter than the S20 Ultra, measuring 8.1mm vs. The thicker 8.8mm, and also weighs 213G vs the heavier 220G.

Display

They both have the exact same display (6.9 Inch, 120Hz, QHD+, Super Amoled display) which is absolutely stunning. We normally expect the Note to have a bigger screen than the S-phone, but maybe they are reaching a sweet spot with phone sizes. The Note 20 Ultra does have a little better screen-to-body ratio, and the screen is 25% brighter. The Note 20 Ultra has a brightness of up to 1500NITS while the S20 Ultra is down at 1200NITS.

The S20 Ultra however has a 108-Megapixel main camera, a 12-Megapixel ultra-wide, a 48-Megapixel telephoto lens, and a DepthVision camera capable of a max of 10x optical zoom and 100x digital space zoom. The S20 Ultra also has a 48-Megapixel camera while the Note 20 Ultra only has a 10-Megapixel selfie camera.

Pricing

The price of these phones can depend on your region, but the Note 20 Ultra has been released with the starting price at $1299, while the S20 Ultra is still at $1399. The S20 Ultra has been released for some time so it is a possibility that it could be picked up at a cheaper price. They both have base RAM of 12GB and base storage of 128GB. Performance

What is the performance like for the S20 Ultra and the Note 20 Ultra? The Note 20 Ultra gets an upgrade to the Snapdragon 865+, while the S20 Ultra is still on Snapdragon 865. The Note 20 Ultra also has an adaptive refresh rate, which means it can refresh anywhere from 1-120Hz refresh rate, and the S20 Ultra can only switch between 60Hz and 120Hz. The Note 20 Ultra therefore can save a lot more battery. It also has the new OneUI 2.5 which should get updates longer than the S20 Ultra’s OneUI 2. They both support 5G connectivity, but the Note 20 Ultra is going to be snappier and faster than the S20 Ultra.

Extra Features

The Note 20 also has one feature that the S20 Ultra just can’t compete with, which is the S-pen. The Note 20 Ultra comes with one major upgrade over the previous Note. This Note 20 Ultra cuts the latency on the S-pen from 42MS to 9MS. This means writing with the S-pen will feel more like writing on actual paper. Both have very good stereo speakers, support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, and both have gotten rid of the headphone jack.
