Note 20 Ultra vs. iPhone 11 Pro Max: Choose your perfect OS!

Note 20 Ultra vs. iPhone 11 Pro Max

These are the two best flagships that Samsung and Apple have to offer at this time even though the iPhone 12 is on the horizon. They have all the best specs of most smart phones on the market. Which one is the better handset for you to use?

Design and Display

They both have similar design and build quality each boasting the soft touch, fingerprint resistant matte back. The Note 20 ultra does have a bigger camera bump and has a slightly curved display which makes it have a nicer look but it is not quite as durable as the flat screen of the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The Note 20 takes the edge in this category with a bigger 6.9in 120hz adaptive refresh rate display, while the iPhone has a 6.5in 60hz display. The Note 20 Ultra also has a small hole punch selfie camera, and the iPhone has a much bigger notch that cuts into the screen. The Note 20 Ultra also has the S-pen which can make the decision for you if you need the pen.

Performance

The iPhone takes the edge powered by the A13 Bionic which tends to be faster in benchmarks than the Note 20 Ultra which has the Snapdragon 865+. This will not translate to much of a difference in real world use so the iPhone barely takes it on this one. The Note Ultra also has 12gb RAM which is far more that the 4gb RAM of the iPhone, but they will be very equal in real world use with the iPhone ahead by a few steps.

Battery life and Charging

The Note 20 Ultra has a 4500mAh battery which is just very big. The iPhone has a slightly smaller battery with 3969mAh battery which will last longer than the Note because of the lower refresh rate of the screen. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has an 18W charger in the box and the Note 20 Ultra comes with a 25W charger in the box so they both support fast charging.

Cameras

Both of these flagships have rear triple camera setups that just take good photos. The iPhone has a three rear camera that all have 12-megapixel sensors. The Note has a 108-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. Even though the Note 20 Ultra has the insane 108-megapixel main camera the photos will be very similar. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 12-megapixel selfie camera which is only 2-megapixel more than the 10-megapixel selfie camera of the Note 20 Ultra.

The iPhone is known to have the best software in a phone and the iPhone 11 Pro Max is no different and will get about three years of updates. The Note 20 Ultra has decent software and it has been promised that it will get 3 years of updates, but Samsung phones tend to be a lot longer to get the latest update.

The iPhone is cheaper and arguably better, which means the new iPhone 12 should be even better making a bigger gap between the latest Samsung flagship. The overall winner is the iPhone 11 Pro Max, but that also means that there are also plenty of reasons to buy the Note 20 Ultra over the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
